Millennium Fashions

The mood on the male fashion runway in Milan, Italy, for fall-winter 1999-2000 is casual and upbeat. Turtlenecks, V-necks and even leather tank tops can replace the shirt. Shirt jackets and lightweight coats offer alternatives to the blazer. Pants can be pencil-thin or snowboard-baggy as long as they are not pressed. The tie is optional, as is the belt. And the sequin appears everywhere. Above, a model struts his stuff in a leather jacket worn over matching sweater and scarf designed by Jean Paul Gaultier.
