Telephone Proposal Prompts Bbb Inquiry

From Staff

The Better Business Bureau in Spokane is warning Washington and North Idaho residents about a phone scheme involving a work-at-home offer.

The scheme involves signing up people in a medical billing business. The offer may require the respondents to purchase computer equipment or software, or a list of area doctors.

One company that has spurred calls and questions to the Better Business Bureau is Western United Services Co. of Burbank, Calif., which has an “unsatisfactory record,’ according to the BBB in Colton, Calif.

The Bureau cautions consumers and would-be employees to check before sending money on any employment offer. For more information, call 800-356-007 or 509-455-4200.
