New faces:

Coeur d’Alene-based Hanna & Associates Inc. has added the following people to its staff:

Cathy Moog joined the advertising agency as an assistant media buyer. Moog, a recent graduate of Washington State University’s communications program, previously was an intern at Hanna.

Jade Martin was named an account executive. Martin, who received a bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing and communications from Whitworth College, previously was a sales and marketing consultant for CBS affiliate KRTX of the Montana Television Network in Great Falls. Earlier, he was sales manager for the Spokane branch of Metropolitan Outdoor, a Los Angeles-based outdoor advertising company.

Mike Emenegger joined Hanna as an art director. Emenegger, who has 15 years of experience in the advertising business, previously worked for Wendt Advertising in Spokane. He also has worked in the Spokane area as a digital designer for Zak Designs and as a designer for Marcia Smith Design Associates.

Amy M. Smith, a University of Idaho journalism graduate, has been named public relations director of Stix Corp., a Spokane-based company specializing in custom-designed and installed ceiling products.

Gary Stamper has rejoined Sign Service & Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Hayden Lake after a two-year absence. Stamper will oversee design, manufacturing operations and marketing processes. A 16-year veteran of the sign industry, he received a degree in graphic design from San Jose State University. Before rejoining Sign Service, Stamper worked for Resource Computing Inc. in Spokane, where he developed that company’s Year 2000 compliance assessment product and customer service department.

Kim Carpenter has joined Starla & Co., a Coeur d’Alene salon, as a stylist and manicurist. She has 10 years of experience in the business, including five years at a St. Maries salon. Carpenter is a graduate of Headmasters school of hair design in Coeur d’Alene and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Lewis Clark State College.

Spokane Baptist Association Homes has appointed the following people as trustees of its newly organized foundation, the Senior Homes Foundation of Eastern Washington: Eugene Hebert, Holman Gardens resident; Betty Hennessey, community volunteer; Claude W. Morris, community volunteer; Virginia Ruark, Lilac Plaza resident; Marvin F. Soehren, retired SBAH administrator; and Lea L. Werner, community volunteer. Two members of Spokane Baptist’s corporate board, Anne Marie Axeworthy and Chuck Crow, also will serve as foundation trustees. Axeworthy, an employee of Avista Corp., was elected Senior Homes Foundation’s first president. Werner, director of marketing for Washington Trust Bank, was named vice president, while Hebert was named secretary, and Crow was elected treasurer.

Vivian Boles has been named director of Arcadia, a special Alzheimer’s unit being opened by ManorCare Health Services. Boles, who has 20 years of experience in the long-term health care industry, has been active with the Alzheimer’s association, the ombudsman program and as an activity director for ManorCare.

KSPS-TV has hired Denise Raczka as traffic associate. Raczka was previously employed by the KXLY family of stations.

Other new additions to the staff at KSPS-TV include:

Mike Peterson, who joined the station as a maintenance engineer.

Robert Deitz and Marek Zaranski were named master control operators.

Moving up:

Lawry Knopp has been named assistant vice president-financial risk management at Farm Credit Services. He will oversee interest rate risk and financial market analyses. Knopp joined Farm Credit in 1985 as a programmer/analyst for the Farm Credit Bank of Spokane. Since then he has held several positions, most recently as director-asset/liability management.

Desautel Communications & Marketing has promoted Michelle Hege to vice president. Hege, who joined the firm a year ago as an account executive, will have increased responsibilities for account management and business development. Before joining Desautel, Hege was a communications administrator for Medical Service Corp.

Janet Dixon has been promoted to manager of the Newport branch of Pend Oreille Bank. Her responsibilities include directing all operations in Newport. Dixon, an assistant vice president and senior loan officer, began her banking career with Pend Oreille Bank in 1987 and has held several positions, including teller, proof operator, customer service representative and loan specialist.
