Man Arrested In Stabbing Case

From Staff Reports

An argument over a debt led to a stabbing and arrest Sunday in Spokane County, according to deputies.

Alan D. Kintner, 43, was charged with second-degree assault, sheriff’s deputies reported. The victim, who was not identified by sheriff’s deputies, was listed in stable condition.

According to a written statement, Kintner and the 38-year-old victim were arguing about money Kintner owed. Kintner allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach with a folding knife.

Kintner ran into the woods near Seven Mile after his brother broke up the fight, deputies reported. He was arrested when an off-duty Spokane Police sergeant spotted him walking near Seven Mile Road and Aubrey L. White Parkway.

No weapon was recovered.
