Pickup Driver Sought After Jogger Struck
Police are searching for the driver of a pickup that hit a jogger on Sunday.
Police said the compact pickup hit the 25-year-old woman about 10:30 a.m. as she was jogging on South Grand Avenue. The driver rolled down his window and apologized, saying he had not seen her before the accident. Then he drove off.
The victim, whom police did not identify, was treated for minor injuries at Pullman Memorial Hospital.
The victim described the pickup as a blue and white Ford Ranger or Chevrolet S-10 from the mid-1980s. It had a contractor’s rack and Washington license plate, although the license number is not known.
She described the driver as a white male in his mid- to late-50s. He had grey hair and wore glasses.
