Growth Management Meeting Postponed

The Growth Management Act steering committee for Spokane County has canceled its Friday meeting so elected officials can pay their respects to Washington Air National Guard crew members who died in a recent plane crash.

Some of the Spokane city, county and small town elected officials who serve on the committee want to attend the memorial service for the four men, who died Jan. 13 in Germany. That service, which is open to the public, is 10 a.m. Friday at the Spokane Opera House.

The steering committee discusses local implementation of the state’s Growth Management Act. Friday’s meeting has been postponed until 9:30 a.m. Feb. 12 in the Spokane Transit Authority board room, 1230 W. Boone.
