Harold Arceneaux scored 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and Eddie Gill added 20 points and 10 assists to lead Weber State’s 92-82 victory over Portland State. Jason Hartman led Portland State with 31 points. With the score tied 18-18 with 10:23 remaining in the first half, Weber went on a 20-5 run with Gill scoring five of the points.

Utah State becomes the latest team to hammer North Texas, winning 92-61 at Logan, Utah. Pharoah Davis scored 18 for Utah State and Deginal Erskin 17 for North Texas. Davis was 9 for 9 from the field and Randall was 6 for 7… . B.J. Bunton scored 18 points in Santa Barbara’s 73-54 victory over visiting Cal State Fullerton. Erick Ashe added 17 points and Josh Merrill grabbed 14 rebounds for UCSB, which broke the game open with a 15-4 run to start the second half. The Gauchos, who were 2-8 in non-conference games, took over first place in the West Division when Boise State defeated Long Beach State. … Gerry Washington scored 13 of his game-high 19 points in the second half to lead visiting Boise State past Long Beach State 61-57. Boise’s Roberto Bergersen, who is third in the nation in scoring at 24.5 points per game, was held to 15 points… . Eric Channing scored 22 points as New Mexico State defeated struggling Nevada 75-63 in Reno, Nev. The Aggies have won eight in a row and the Wolf Pack have lost nine straight. Channing contributed two 3-pointers in an 11-0 run that gave the Aggies a 58-41 lead with 10:49 left. Nevada got no closer than eight points after that.

Jimmie Rainwater scored 19 points and Ryan Jones 15 to lead Portland’s 65-51 home win over San Francisco, leaving the Dons with sole possession of last place. San Francisco led 34-26 at halftime, then scored 17 points in the second half. The game featured 45 turnovers, 31 by San Francisco, and a total of 44 fouls.
