Cheney Concerts Begin Tonight

Thu., July 1, 1999

Cheney’s summer concert series resumes today in Sutton Park at 6 p.m. at the historic gazebo.

Tonight’s performance by a group called Brassworks is the first of eight free concerts through Aug. 19, all beginning at 6 p.m.

Parks Director Bob Hudson said the concerts have become an annual event for some 20 years.

They are supported by community donations.

Dennis Carey Orchestra on July 8.

Dixie Dandies on July 15.

Paul Plowman Trio on July 22.

Westwind Quintet on July 29.

All That Jazz on Aug. 5.

Pages of Harmony on Aug. 12.

Robin Marks on Aug. 19.
