Barbecue Chars Condo

An unattended charcoal barbecue ignited a North Spokane condominium Sunday, causing heavy damage, according to Spokane Fire Battalion Chief Skip Powell.

No one was injured in the fire at the four-unit condo at 8516 N. Mayfair St., said Powell.

Fire destroyed part of the roof and walls of at least two units in the two-story, wood-frame structure.
