UI Sets Record For Donations
Gifts and pledges to the University of Idaho hit a record level for the fiscal year that ended June 20, with nearly 17,000 donations amounting to more than $22 million.
The university’s foundation raised $22,053,858 in gifts and pledges, including four gifts of over $1 million. That figure does not include contract or government grant money.
“This is an amazing testimonial to the dedication and support of our alumni and other friends of the university,” University of Idaho President Bob Hoover said.
The largest commitment of funds came from the Joe Albertson family, University of Idaho alumni Gary Michael and Meryle Kay Michael and the Albertson corporation, a total of $6 million for a new College of Business and Economics building.
