Attorney General Janet Reno turns up regularly on television news and at congressional hearings and frequently is parodied on TV shows, but, she found out this past weekend, her face isn’t instantly identifiable everywhere. Praising a small-town Fourth of July parade in Idyllwild, Calif., where she spent the holiday helping her aunt Winnie Wood celebrate Wood’s 80th birthday, Reno told this story with delight Thursday: A woman at the parade was overheard commenting about Reno, “Gee, she looks familiar.” “Yeah, I think so, too,” said the husband. Then the wife said, “I think she is the checkout person at the local market.”
