Aretha Franklin sings the national anthem moments before the weekend’s “The Three Tenors” concert at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. Over 35,000 spectators wearing an array of fashion, from silk dresses to khaki shorts, focused there attention on the center of the field for what many called the ultimate musical display of a lifetime.
