Contest Deadline Looming
It’s time to dig deep.
With the Good Neighbors Contest Aug. 2 deadline for nominations fast approaching, the window of opportunity to give your special neighbor a chance to be recognized is quickly escaping.
The process is simple enough, so don’t be intimidated.
First, identify your Good Neighbor. Think back on all the great things this neighbor has done for the neighborhood. Then write them all down . We’re going to be picky when we evaluate the nominations. After all, there are some terrific people in Spokane and we have to pick the best of a top-notch group.
Next, organize your list into a letter that should be no longer than 250 words (about one page, double spaced).
Fourth, stick ‘er in a stamped envelope and send it out.
Winners - one each from the North Side, South Side and Valley - will be announced Aug. 19. As Good Neighbor Contest winners, they’ll get a block party hosted by The Spokesman-Review in their honor, an engraved plaque recognizing their achievement and an article about them in the paper.
