Burglar Loots Storage Unit
Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a burglar who apparently broke into a Spokane Valley storage unit and stole more than $3,000 in home furnishings.
According to deputies’ reports, someone broke into a 46-year-old man’s storage unit at Sterling Self Storage at 27 S. McDonald Road sometime before last Thursday.
The man told deputies his apartment manager notified him that the lock on his storage unit had been cut. It has been replaced with a new one.
Items taken from the storage unit include a $500 lamp, a Mikasa dish set with a blue flower design, $500 in art coffee table books, crystal drinking glasses, bedding and Mexican decorations.
The man said he knew of no possible suspects. Anyone with more information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
