Meth Lab Suspect Returned After Jumping Bail
A man suspected of operating two methamphetamine labs in Pend Oreille County and jumping bail was returned to the county jail Thursday by a bail bondsman.
Henry Roundtree, 40, was being held Friday in lieu of $10,000 bail set in an arrest warrant. The warrant was issued July 15 after Roundtree failed to remain in contact with public defender Anna Nordtvedt.
Superior Court records show Roundtree was facing trial on a 1998 meth lab charge when he absconded. He was arrested again this year and accused of operating another meth lab, near Diamond Lake, that sheriff’s officers raided on April 1.
Two women were arrested in the raid, and Roundtree was taken into custody later. He pleaded innocent on June 24, bailed out the next day and disappeared again.
Roundtree now faces trial Sept. 13.
