Ethiopian Wins Close Race
Berhanu Adanne of Ethiopia outmaneuvered Armando Quintanilla and Hezron Otwori in the final quarter-mile of the 10K run to win the closest race in Bolder Boulder history.
Lidia Simon, a marathon runner from Romania, captured the women’s individual title.
In one of the best races in the event’s 21-year history, Quintanilla, Adanne and Otwori each led in the final half-mile before Adanne started to pull away with 400 meters remaining, finishing in 29 minutes.
