Kosovar Refugees In Spokane Tonight

From Staff

The first of several Kosovar families will arrive in Spokane tonight.

World Relief is bringing in 50 people through July who will stay with various host families around the Spokane area. Churches, individuals and community groups have been rallied by World Relief to provide support to arriving families.

World Relief said financial donations are needed to acquire goods and services. They will still accept items such as small appliances, kitchen utensils, telephones, vacuums, glassware and chairs. But due to space limitations, the organization prefers money over goods.

For more information, call World Relief at 484-9829, Ext. 104.
