Fast-Food Robbery Attempt Foiled

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who pulled a gun on a fast-food restaurant employee early Sunday.

A manager at the Burger King at 2120 N. Argonne Road told deputies she was leaving work at 12:45 a.m. when a man walked up to her outside of the store and demanded the store’s money bag.

She said she didn’t have the bag.

He pointed a silver semi-automatic pistol at her face and cocked the trigger and told her to go back inside and get the money.

She did and, once inside, pulled the restaurant’s panic alarm and then hid, according to police reports.

The man then left on foot. Witnesses said he was last seen on foot heading northeast of the restaurant toward an apartment complex.

The man was described as white, 18 years old, 5-foot-3, 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a tank top or black leather vest and a black headband.

Deputies believe they may have a possible suspect.
