Escapee Still At Large

Mon., June 7, 1999

A 25-year-old man who escaped from the Bonner County Jail in Sandpoint on Friday was still at large Sunday.

Austin Mark Fulton evaded jail security during “an emergency maintenance procedure” about 9 p.m. Friday, according to a statement from the Bonner County Sheriff’s Department.

Police dogs unsuccessfully attempted to track Fulton.

The sheriff’s office would not release additional information regarding the escape or Fulton’s criminal record.
