Man Accused Of Rape

A Spokane man has been jailed on two counts of child rape, police said Sunday.

Jonathan Lee Springer, 19, who gave his address as 225 N. Division, was charged late Saturday with the rape of a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl.

Both girls are Spokane residents but are not related, said Spokane police spokesman Dick Cottam.

While officers interviewed the 15-year-old victim and her father, they were told of the other minor with whom Springer is suspected of having had sexual contact.

Officers found the 13-year-old girl and Springer together. After questioning the pair, police arrested Springer.
