City’S Swimming Pools Will Open Monday

Signaling the beginning of summer, Spokane’s six outdoor swimming pools open Monday.

City-run swimming pools include: A.M. Cannon at Maxwell and Elm; Comstock at 29th and Howard; Hillyard at Columbia and Market; Liberty at Fifth and Pittsburg, Shadle at Longfellow and Elm, and Witter Pool at Mission and Perry.

Swimming is free for youngsters under age 18. For ages 18 and older, the fee is $2 per session. Open swim hours are from 1-5 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 1-4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The pools close for the season August 29.
