Motorcyclist Hurt When Hit By Pickup
A 37-year-old motorcyclist was hospitalized Monday with injuries he suffered when a pickup rear-ended him on U.S. Highway 95.
Witnesses told police Tony L. Gay of Hayden Lake had just about stopped for a red light at the highway’s intersection with state Highway 53 when he was hit about 4 p.m. The collision threw Gay from his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, the Idaho State Police said.
Gay was taken to Kootenai Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the ISP. He was treated and released.
The pickup’s driver, Tanya M. Edstrom, 26, of Athol, was not injured. Witnesses said it appeared Edstrom did not see Gay slow for the light.
