Trio Charged With Burglarizing Apartment Complex Storage Units

A Spokane teenager and two juvenile accomplices were arrested by deputies after they dropped stolen items and ran from the scene of a burglary, deputies said.

A sheriff’s deputy was patrolling in the area of Colfax and Graves roads at 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 24 when he saw a trio running from an apartment complex at 33 E. Graves, according to sheriff’s spokesman Dave Reagan.

The deputy caught and held 18-year-old James R. Nason and a 15-year-old female. The other male, 15, was found at home by backup deputies, Reagan said.

Police investigated a dozen burglarized storage units at the apartment complex. Items were stolen from some of the units, and other units were vandalized, he said.

Nason was booked into Spokane County Jail on 12 counts of second-degree burglary. The two younger teens were each booked on the same charges at the juvenile detention.

Cops nab suspects in stolen trucks

Spokane police arrested two men driving a stolen truck at 7 p.m. on Saturday behind a house in the 1700 block of East Courtland.

The owner of the Toyota truck reported it stolen on Feb. 10, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Police arrested Christian Przybilski, who gave his address as 3029 E. Jackson, and Kelly W. Turner, 29, who gave his address as 1603 N. Flora.

In an unrelated vehicle theft earlier in the day, police arrested 37-year-old Debra R. Monroe, who gave her address as 2717 E. Lincoln Road.

A woman was seen driving a truck with stolen license plates. The truck was spotted in front of a house in the 3600 block of East Crown at 11:30 a.m., Cottam said.

Police stopped the truck in the 4700 block of North Freya. Monroe was driving with a suspended license, and police found crack cocaine in her purse, Cottam said.

They also found four checkbooks and a credit card that weren’t in her name. Monroe was booked into jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
