Performance Will Feature Dancers From The Valley
The Tales of Beatrix Potter will come to life at The Met next weekend, with a ballet performance by more than a dozen Spokane Valley dancers.
Dance Theatre Northwest presents the tales, including Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, Jemima Puddleduck and the Fox, and other childhood favorites from Potter’s classic stories.
Performances will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., March 13 at the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available through G&B Select-a-Seat, The Academy of Dance or by calling 922-3023.
Adult tickets are $10; tickets for children, students or seniors are $6.
Company dance members include Britanne Bergevin of East Valley High School, Shauna Deehr of University High School, Sara Hinnenkamp, who is a home-school student, Brenna McMahill of Valley Christian School, Marcy Ray of St. Mary’s School, and Eleanor Tripp of Lewis and Clark High School.
Apprentices include Alyse Clacy, Hailey Foster, Caroline Francis, Stephanie Haney, Chrissie Jemming, Anne Peasley and Caroline Tripp.
Dance Theatre Northwest is a nonprofit group in residence at the Academy of Dance in the Spokane Valley.
The performances will be narrated and signed for the deaf.
