Camp Fire Council Buys Headquarters

From Staff

The Inland Empire Council of Camp Fire Boys and Girls has purchased a new headquarters.

The council will relocate to 524 N. Mullan Road in the Spokane Valley after the loss of its lease downtown at 154 S. Stevens when the building was sold earlier this year.

The new location has three times the square footage of the current building, which administrators say will allow them to offer more programs including baby sitting classes, Saturday Fun Shops and School Day Off.

The council takes in 18 counties in Eastern Washington and North Idaho and operates Sweyolakan, Neewahlu Dart-Lo and Aowakiya camps. More than 12,000 youth and adults participate in local Camp Fire programs.
