Chris Dowers scored from 15 yards in the final moments as visiting Deer Park, a second-year program that finished 1-9 last year, edged defending State 2A champion Pullman 1-0.

DP is 2-0-1, Pullman 1-1-0.

Elsewhere, Kevin Proszek’s 20-yard shot in the second overtime lifted Chewelah (2-0-1) to a 2-1 win over visiting Colville (1-2-0).

Mike Chappell scored second-half goals 12 minutes apart for a 3-1 lead, and Medical Lake (1-2-0) defeated visiting Lakeside 4-1. Mike Mortlock scored for the Eagles (0-5-0).
