Fire Department Missing Chain Saw
The Spokane Fire Department needs the public’s help in recovering a missing chain saw.
The chain saw belongs to the fire department and was lost or stolen after crews responded to a vehicle accident on the Washington-Stevens couplet in downtown Spokane around 1 a.m. Sunday.
During the incident, one unit was sent to the area of the Post Street Bridge. The saw was discovered missing from that unit, said Capt. Ernie Nye.
The saw is red with a black chain bar and is labeled “Cutter’s Edge.”
“This is a specialized saw designed for fire service work and is not generally marketed to the public,” Nye said.
The saw has a city identification code CS-025; a serial number 8390504; and a model number CE2071RS on it.
Anyone with information on the missing saw is asked to call the Spokane Fire Dispatch Center at 625-7100.
