Prom memories. We’re looking for suggestions from high-school students on ways to make Prom ‘99 extra special and memorable. We’ll include your suggestions in a special prom page next month. Send your suggestion to any of the numbers or addresses at the bottom of the page by April 5.
Best-teacher contest. It’s time for the second annual Our Generation Best Teacher contest.
Any student in grades 7-12 is eligible to nominate a teacher. Send your one-page letter of nomination to the address, e-mail or fax at the bottom of the page.
The judges are looking for teachers with especially creative and innovative teaching styles, a sense of humor and those who show respect to students and a concern for students outside of the classroom. Nomination letters should be specific as possible. All nominations must be received by April 30.
Get ready for spring and summer. The Spokane Parks Department has announced its spring and summer lineup of outdoor activities for teens. Raft whitewater, backpack through the Cascades, bike the San Juans or learn to scuba dive, in-line skate, rock climb and more. For details on the programs, call 625-6200.
