The mayor’s office is accepting applications for vacancies on several boards and commissions. The application deadline is 5 p.m. May 10. For an application or information, contact Reagan Oliver in the mayor’s office at City Hall, 625-6250.

The Spokane Library Board has one vacancy. Applicants must be city residents.

The Historic Landmark Commission has one vacancy. The commission is looking for applicants who have an interest in historic preservation and a background in real estate investing, leasing, banking or who is a realtor. Applicants may be either city or county residents.

The Spokane Plan Commission has one opening. The commission oversees comprehensive planning, zoning and annexation issues.

The Design Review Committee has four vacancies. These positions are available: a citizen living north of the Spokane River, someone involved in commercial real estate, a small business owner, a citizen living south of the Spokane River.

Cable Advisory Board has one vacancy.

Local journalism is essential.
