Car Ends Up In River

From Staff

A car went into the South Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River early Sunday a few miles west of Osburn.

Larry R. Harty of Spokane was on Interstate 90 at about 1:45 a.m. when his vehicle ran off the road, overcorrected, slid into the guardrail and then crashed through the guardrail, according to the Idaho State Police. Harty was ejected and the car went into the river.

Harty, 50, was taken to Shoshone Medical Center, where he was in stable condition Sunday afternoon.
