Whitman County prosecutors filed charges Monday against a Lincoln Middle School student arrested last week for threatening to shoot several students and bomb a bus.

Whitman County Deputy Prosecutor Monty Cobb charged the 14-year-old Pullman boy with one count of harassment, a class C felony.

He is still being held in custody.

The boy was expelled last week after students overheard him making threats against two other students.

The students told school authorities. Later that day, the boy and another classmate were overheard discussing acquiring explosives to blow up the bus they were riding.

Both eighth-graders were expelled, though the second boy was not arrested.
