Block Grant Awarded To Post Falls
The City of Post Falls has been awarded a $500,000 grant that will help pay for infrastructure costs in building a new Albertsons grocery store.
The 57,560-square-foot store will be near the intersection of Seltice Way and state Highway 41 and will create 90 jobs, according to a grant application.
The Idaho Community Development Block Grant comes from the state Department of Commerce. It’ll pay for constructing water and sewer system extensions to the shopping plaza’s site.
Other grants in Kootenai County include a $150,000 grant to the city of Worley for a new community center.
