Remembrance

You were so beautiful.

You had so much.

Your face was so colorful.

I want to once again reach out, and you I touch.

Why do these sad tears never leave?

Going on with life without you,

I don’t think I’ll ever achieve.

I will never forget your God-given spirit.

At night when I close my eyes, your laugh, I hear it.

The pain I feel is so strong.

My eyes keep overflowing with tears, and watering on.

The sympathy, sweetness, and integrity in you I admired.

The simplicity, gentleness, and tranquility in you I desired.

Where did you have to go, that you had to leave me?

You were so sweet.

I guess to a better place with God to meet.

You were the kindest person I have ever known.

Caring, compassion, and gentleness you shown.

I know you’re happy and smiling down from up above.

For eternity, I’ll show you, my love.

As I crack a smile, through my teary eyes,

I remember up there a place for me, next to you, lies.
