Officials Identify Man Killed After Falling From Raft

A man who died when he fell from a raft on the Green River has been identified as Lawrence Richard Jobst, 34, of Tacoma.

Jobst fell in the river when the raft hit a rock Saturday afternoon in the Green River Gorge east of Black Diamond. Jobst got caught under a log, a King County sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

His body was recovered Sunday.
