Suspect Arrested In North Side Shooting

Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a man last Thursday in north Spokane.

Josephus McDonald, 19, was booked Friday into the Spokane County Jail on a charge of first-degree assault.

Investigators believe he shot an unidentified 28-year-old in the back during an argument about drugs, police said.

The shooting happened about 10 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of East Ermina. The victim was walking into a home on Ermina and the suspect followed him, police said. An argument ensued and the victim was shot.
