Cold Wave Continues With Another Record Low
Record cold settled over Spokane for the third straight day early Tuesday.
A low of 31 degrees at Spokane International Airport tied the record for the date set in 1992. It was the seventh official overnight frost this month.
Daily low records were broken on Sunday and Monday at 27 and 26 degrees respectively. Another daily record was tied last Wednesday with a reading of 27 degrees.
Forecasters said another cold front off the North Pacific will bring more clouds, wind and a chance of showers today. Highs are expected in the low 50s today and Thursday.
There may be a break in the freezing temperatures, however. Lows are forecast in the upper 30s.
