Body Identified As Otis Orchards Man

A man found floating face down in Lake Pend Oreille has been identified as a 75-year-old from Otis Orchards, authorities said Wednesday.

Findings from an autopsy on the body of James A. Petersen were not immediately available, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department said.

Petersen’s body was found Tuesday in water next to the Scenic Bay Resort boat slips.
