Gun Stolen From Storage Unit
A gun valued at $600 was reported stolen from a South Side storage unit Saturday.
The owner of the 12-gauge Baretta shotgun told sheriff’s deputies the gun, a $65 fishing rod and a gun bag were taken from his storage unit at South Hill Mini Storage, 3115 E. 57th, sometime between April 15 and noon Saturday.
He said he noticed a ladder in the neighboring storage unit protruding above the wall. The walls don’t meet the ceiling in the units, said sheriff’s spokesman Dave Reagan.
There are no suspects.
