New faces:
Dianne Cline has been named an agent for the Country Companies insurance group. Cline earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern Washington University. She is based at the company’s office at 1500 W. Fourth.
Carol Becker has joined INB Mortgage as a residential loan officer based at the Inland Northwest Bank branch at 57th and Regal. Becker has more than 20 years of residential lending experience in the Spokane area and will focus, primarily, on serving the real estate needs of consumers purchasing or refinancing homes through conventional, FHA and VA programs. Most recently with Action Mortgage Co., Becker also has worked for U.S. Bank.
PacifiCAD Inc. has added the following people to its staff:
Todd K. Little joined the company as an ACE/civil account executive. Little, who has an extensive background in sales, service and CAD design, previously worked for Helac Corp. He earned an associate’s degree in engineering and CAD technology.
Sandra Snow was hired as a civil/GIS mapping support technician. Snow has experience as a draftsperson and computer/network support technician and is a Microsoft certified systems engineer and trainer. She earned a master’s degree in administration and supervision.
Doug Grisham was named an MCAD account executive. He previously worked for IPC Power Resistors in Kentucky as an autoCAD design/sales engineer. Grisham has a strong background in mechanical design and relevant sales experience. He received an associate’s degree in mechanical CAD design and technology from Southern Ohio College.
Raleigh Johnston joined PacifiCAD as a strategic account representative. Johnston, who has an extensive background in customer service management, is promoting the company’s Facilities Management Division throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Robert Pace was named an associate principal in the firm. Pace currently is managing the Concourse “C” Terminal Expansion at Spokane International Airport. He is active in the commercial/retail practice of the firm.
James Choate-Deeds and Charles Horgan both were promoted from senior project manager to associate. Choate-Deeds manages public works projects for the firm, while Horgan manages the firm’s retail/grocery projects.
Elected:
Scott Waples, chief system planning engineer for Avista Utilities, a division of Avista Corp., has been elected board chairman of the 30-member Northwest Power Pool. Waples has been a member of the Northwest Power Pool board of directors since 1997. He served as vice chair of the organization’s Transmission Planning Committee for the past two years, and recently assumed chairmanship of that group. Waples, who joined Avista predecessor Washington Water Power in 1978, will be responsible for promoting cooperation among power pool members, with the overall goals of achieving reliable operation of the regional electric power system, coordinating power system planning and assisting in planning of transmission with the Northwest Interconnected Area.
1999 officers of the Senior Assistance Fund of Eastern Washington include: President, Dorothy Phillips; vice president, John Nauditt; treasurer, John Hacking; and secretary, Judy Geiselman. New additions to the board of directors include: Frank Bartel, Judy Geiselman and John Hacking.
Certifications:
Pat Ward, a sales associate at Windermere Real Estate, has earned the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation from the Washington Association of Realtors. The designation is awarded to professional real estate practitioners who complete three 30-hour classes. The material covers every facet of real estate practice, ranging from the laws that apply to transferring real property to how to effectively market homes for sale.
James Young of Tomlinson Black in Spokane, has been awarded the designation Real Estate Innovator (REI) by Realty Publishing. The designation is given to a select group of real estate professionals who offer extraordinary service to home-sellers. Just over 10,000 agents nationwide have been awarded the designation, out of about 725,000 members of the National Association of Realtors in the U.S.
SouthCare Animal Clinic has been accredited as a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. Less than 17 percent of all small animal veterinary facilities in North America are accredited hospital members of the association. To qualify, SouthCare voluntarily participated in a comprehensive evaluation by the association, including a quality assessment review of the hospital’s facility, medical equipment, practice methods, and pet health-care management.

Itronix Corp. has been named a “Sears Partner in Progress” for 1998. The award is given annually to a select group of vendor companies who supply Sears, Roebuck and Co. with quality products and services. More than 10,000 vendors competed for the award. Itronix was selected for its role in providing technology support to the thousands of Sears technicians around the nation.
