Employee Charged With Store Theft

A Sears employee was arrested on suspicion of stealing from the Spokane Valley Mall store.

Jered L. Farley, 18, 1105 N. Fox, was arrested Sunday afternoon.

Sears security officers told sheriff’s deputies they had analyzed the suspect’s transactions and said he was crediting his credit card account with false returns.

They told deputies the suspect purchased more than $300 worth of merchandise from the store, then pretended to return the items and credited his card with the amount. Farley was booked into Spokane County Jail.
