Where have all the frogs gone?

Where did all the frogs go?

At our location on the southern end of Liberty Lake, we have been much interested in the various frogs that have inhabited the swamp and adjoining areas for years.

But no longer do we hear a chorus in the evenings.

In addition, the little tree frogs who seemed to enjoy our buildings - one always seemed to live in our front door frame and another in our wood shed - are gone.

We once had one the size of a dime in our bathroom. He was a prize jumper - 20 inches or more.

Their song, “chirp-moan,” was very distinctive.

Finally, we see no toads. Large ones used to stay near our garage.

We miss ‘em and would like to know the answer. Don and Elsie McLean Liberty Lake
