Holiday Convenience Store Robbed

An armed robber held up a Spokane Valley convenience store early Monday and escaped with a small amount of cash.

A clerk working at the Holiday Convenience Store at 411 N. Pines Road told sheriff’s deputies he was working at the back of the store around 4:20 a.m. when he heard the door buzzer sound.

He walked around the corner and saw a man with a purple scarf covering his face.

The man, who was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol, ordered the clerk to put money in a bag.

Once the clerk put the money in the bag, the robber left and was last seen walking south on Pines.

The clerk described the robber as a white male in his late 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He had brown hair and was wearing tan pants, a black jacket and baseball cap.
