Three Hurt In Head-On Collision In Valley

An Otis Orchards woman and her daughter were injured Thursday in a head-on collision in the Spokane Valley, Washington State Patrol troopers said.

Maria Buzzell, 33, was driving south on Harvard Road about 3:15 p.m. when her car collided in the northbound lanes with a car driven by 46-year-old Morgan Miller of Blanchard, Idaho, troopers said.

Buzzell remained in satisfactory condition late Thursday at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Her 4-year-old daughter, Katie Buzzell, remained in surgery with a reported broken leg and closed-head injury.

Miller was treated for minor injuries and released.

The accident closed Harvard Road from Euclid to Interstate 90 for about three hours.
