Over The River And …

Walking the plank. Bill Bingle and his daughter, Sarena, 6, head across the rebuilt swinging footbridge spanning the Spokane River near the Bowl and Pitcher in Riverside State Park on Tuesday. First built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939-40, the bridge was closed for more than a year to be reconstructed but with its original cable suspension system intact. A dedication ceremony is set for Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Photo by Colin Mulvany/The Spokesman-Review
