Police Seek Help Identifying Body
Police need help identifying a young man whose body was discovered in the Spokane River on Wednesday.
Workers with Avista power company found the corpse stuck in a grate near the Post Street dam about 8:45 a.m.
An autopsy was unable to determine the cause of death, and the victim’s fingerprints are not in the state criminal database, police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a news release.
The victim was white, 15 to 19 years old, about 6 feet 1 and 160 pounds. He had green eyes, a shaved head and a large mole on his right cheek. He was dressed in black but was missing his shoes when he was found, police said.
