Kaiser, Union Resume Talks

From Staff

Negotiators for Kaiser Aluminum and the United Steelworkers met in Denver Monday in the latest round of talks in the 13-month labor dispute. Neither party commented on Monday’s talks.

This week in Denver and next week in Spokane, the parties say they will focus on contracting out of work, one of the most contentious issues in the dispute.

Negotiating teams are slated to meet again today in Denver and Nov. 11 and 12 in Spokane, where 2,100 Kaiser Steelworkers are locked out of their jobs and replacement workers are keeping two plants operating.
