National Forests

Don’t throw away your 1999 Recreation Fee passes, the U.S. Forest Service warns. They will be valid until the new fee system passes are available in the spring of 2000.

The passes, which are affixed to windshields, are required for parking at many forest trailheads in Washington and Oregon. Forest Service officials say they are restructuring the program to make it more convenient.
