A Royal Welcome

To a greeting by an honor guard of Ghanaian troops as well as traditional dancers and drummers, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Accra, the capital of Ghana, on Sunday for a two-day state visit, her first to the West African country and former British colony in 38 years. As the queen and her husband, Prince Philip, descended from their plane, a crowd of some 10,000 burst into cheers and waved Ghanaian and British flags.
