Stormwater Guideline Input Needed
Spokane County officials want the public to share their opinions with them on the county’s guidelines for stormwater management.
An open house will be held today from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Spokane Regional Health District Auditorium, 1101 W. College.
County officials want to know, for example, should the guidelines be updated to include:
Phasing requirements for developments.
Restrictions of basement construction in certain areas.
Restrictions on siting and infiltration facilities.
New design criteria and erosion control requirements.
Improved methods for evaporation pond design.
Revised downstream analysis criteria.
Revised runoff modeling techniques.
No formal presentation will be given but a variety of information booths will be set up. Staff consultants will be available to answer questions and gather comments.
