Cavanaughs Updates Amenities

From Staff

To attract more business travelers, Cavanaughs Hospitality of Spokane announced Friday it will install high-speed Internet connections in a number of its rooms.

In partnership with Darwin Networks, a company that is partially back by investor Paul Allen, Cavanaughs will install digital-subscriber lines in seven of its hotels by year’s end. About 120 rooms at each property will have high-speed service.

Guests who want to access e-mail and the Internet through the DSL network will pay $9.50 extra for each 24 hours of use, Cavanaugh’s spokesman Stephen Barbieri said.

Other hotel chains, such as Marriott and Hilton, also have started offering similar computer services in their rooms.
